The Summer Fun Massacre
by Craig DiLouie
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (4.5)
Guilty! I totally loved this book. It was a traditional slasher but presented in a nonconventional way in that it was from the vantage point of a police officer.
I’ll admit, I had a hard time keeping all the not-so-buddy cops straight in my head aside from Hank and Buddy. And I really loved the strong females – Mary and Laura as they were represented in the book.
I honestly didn’t want to put the book down, but my reading time was much more limited since I was e-reading it and not listening to an audiobook (which I think I might have loved even more).
Tom, the main character, could be a bit frustrating. He just couldn’t wrap his brain around what was happening and Mary refused to simply spell it out for him … she had her reasons though.
I’m really looking forward to the release of book 2 in this (2-part, I think) series.
