Last Night Was Killer

Last Night Was Killer
by Mary Pauline Lowry
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (4.5 stars)

That was a wild ride, in the best, most chaotic way. This book is all over the place from start to finish, and somehow … it totally works.

Tilly is frantic, messy, and an incredible friend. Watching her start to find herself again, alongside her deceased mom’s best friend and the Pole Virgins, was equal parts heartwarming and unhinged.

This is a disturbing coming-of-age story mixed with arms dealers, murder, strippers, and more. It shouldn’t work. But it does.

About halfway through, I accidentally sped up the narration, which I normally hate (like, hate hate). But somehow? It made Tilly even better. More awkward, more chaotic … more everything.

Nate is a solid, likable leading man, and the Pole Virgin girls + Shade are absolutely people you want in your corner.

First book for me by both the author and narrator, and I’ll definitely be back for more.
