There’s nothing quite like jumping into a cozy mystery series at book 21! While Evil Ways was my first introduction to the Country Club Murders, I have a feeling this might be a binge-worthy series!

I’ll admit, I was a little nervous when the first chapter revolved around a bridge game. Thankfully, it wasn’t long before someone kicked the bucket (fictionally, of course!), and we had ourselves a mystery to solve!

I really enjoyed Ellison as our leading lady. She’s smart, capable, logical, and exactly the kind of amateur sleuth I can get behind. I also loved getting acquainted with her family, friends, and coworkers. Even jumping in this far into the series, I felt comfortable in her world and enjoyed the dynamics between the characters.

Callie Beaulieu’s narration was a great fit for this cozy mystery. Her performance made it easy to settle into Ellison’s world and get to know the cast of characters, especially as a newcomer to the series.

Overall, a fun, entertaining cozy mystery that has me seriously considering going back to book one. Twenty more mysteries to catch up on? Challenge accepted!
