Holy f*ck, that was a fun listen.

This is definitely a slow-burning romance, but getting there is absolutely worth it. The journey was just as entertaining as the payoff.

Zav… OMG. As sexy as he sounds (red hair, glasses … amiright?), overbearing much? He’s lucky Celine is willing to tolerate his nonsense and borderline stalkery behavior. Their banter is chef’s kiss. Embarrassingly enough, it reminds me of the dynamic between me and my partner, which I probably shouldn’t admit publicly. I do love how completely obsessed he is with Celine, though. Honestly, all women deserve someone who looks at them like Zav looks at her.

Celine was such a refreshing FMC. She isn’t the typical foolish heroine ignoring glaring red flags because a man is hot. She’s smart, confident, sexy, and genuinely capable. I also really appreciated the softer layers to her character, especially her relationship with her father and the way she took in his cat despite knowing it could create additional stress for him, with his memory fading.

This book is packed with wit, humor, tension, and heat. I’ll admit I’ve skimmed plenty of spice scenes in other books, but not here. I read every single word.

I’m genuinely excited to continue this trilogy. I’ve already downloaded Loving a Witch is Totally Foolish because I need more Ava and Valen immediately, and I’m already impatiently waiting for Luna’s story. I love that each book still gives us glimpses into the lives of the other characters. It makes the world feel connected in the best way.
