Dear Debbie

Dear Debbie
By Freida McFadden
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

My first book by Freida McFadden, and it absolutely did not disappoint. 👏

Going in, I expected something much darker and more psychological, but honestly? This was just wildly entertaining and had me cheering Debbie on the entire time. And I think we can all collectively agree… people got exactly what was coming to them. 😅

I loved the way Debbie was written. She comes across a little unhinged and even a little ditzy or weak, but the woman is actually incredibly aware and calculated. Everything she does is intentional. The second avocado showed up on those little sandwiches, I knew Debbie was an ABSOLUTE BOSS. 🥑😂

McFadden definitely tries to send readers down a few rabbit holes, but I had Cooper figured out pretty early on. Still fun though, because the journey getting there was messy in the best way.

And the narration? I cannot explain this properly, but Cooper’s voice sounded SO familiar to me. Not in a thriller way either. More like… a cartoon character? The Lorax? Some animated dad figure from the early 2000s? 😂 Scott Brick felt like the strangest possible casting choice for this role and somehow it worked perfectly.

Then I looked him up and his IMDB bio says he’s narrated 600+ audiobooks for authors like Tom Clancy, Clive Cussler, Dennis Lehane, and Orson Scott Card.

Excuse me, sir… where is Freida McFadden on that list?! Update the bio immediately. 🤣
