I love horror, but I don’t usually gravitate toward anthologies or ghost story collections. They tend to leave me wanting more from some stories and wishing others were shorter with a bigger punch. That definitely happened here, but I think that’s just the nature of collections.
Some stories really pulled me in, while others didn’t fully click for me, but the atmosphere throughout was solid. It honestly felt like listening to creepy campfire stories for adults rooted in Irish folklore and superstition.
And D.B. West’s narration? SO good. Few people have the kind of voice that works this perfectly for ghost stories. The Irish narration added so much to the overall vibe, making the audiobook experience stronger.
The collection leans into Celtic folklore, haunted landscapes, ghostly encounters, and that constant feeling that something isn’t quite right.
