⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jackets, Jack-O-Lanterns, & Justice This one was honestly one of the stronger mysteries in the series so far. Mae is trying to clear Hank’s sister of murder and, for once, the answer wasn’t painfully obvious right from the start. That’s always a plus in a long-running cozy mystery series because sometimes the town drama overshadows the actual mystery. This one kept me guessing longer than usual.

Santa, Sunrises, & Suspicions This one, on the other hand, was definitely more obvious in terms of whodunit, but naturally Mae spends most of the story suspecting basically everyone except the actual culprit 😂 At this point, I’m still shocked there are people in Normal that Mae doesn’t already know. That woman is in everybody’s business at all times and somehow new characters still keep appearing.

Vistas, Vices, & Valentines I unexpectedly became fully invested in Dottie and Henry. Honestly, if Tonya Kappes wants to give us a little romance storyline there, I am absolutely onboard 🥹 Their interactions were one of my favorite parts of the entire book and brought a lot of warmth and humor to the story.

Campers and Criminals mysteries can vary, but the quirky town drama, meddling residents, relationship chaos, and cozy atmosphere keep me coming back every time.

And as always, Johanna Parker does such a great job with the narration. She gives each character their own personality and voice while perfectly capturing the charm and chaos of Normal, Kentucky.
