I really liked this one. It was possibly the most predictable thriller I’ve read in a while, but that didn’t make it one bit less enjoyable.

Family secrets long buried begin to resurface when three siblings return home after the death of their mother. As they sort through her belongings, they find themselves questioning what their parents really had to do with the disappearance of a young girl from their childhood… and how far someone is willing to go to keep the truth hidden.

No spoilers here, but I’m realizing I absolutely love when messy family dynamics are woven into a thriller. Even though I figured out where this story was headed fairly early on, I still had a great time getting there. The clues are all there, rewarding readers who enjoy piecing everything together alongside the characters.

The narration was excellent. January LaVoy and Andrew Eiden continue to be two of my favorite audiobook narrators, and Cassandra Campbell and Brittany Pressley were both fantastic additions. Having a full cast really helped bring each sibling’s perspective to life and kept the story engaging from beginning to end.
