This is a cozy, Hallmark-esque romance with just the right dash of spice.

I really enjoyed the premise. (I’m a nonprofit girly myself!) Georgia works for a wish-granting nonprofit and finds herself needing to reconnect with her ex, Jake, to make one very important wish come true. Jake is an F1 driver with plenty of charm, and although their relationship originally ended because of miscommunication, work obligations and forced proximity give them a second chance.

Jake’s sister, Rachel, on the other hand… whew. She definitely had a stick up her you-know-what. She never seemed supportive of Georgia or her relationship with Jake, and the way she threw her brother’s disability in Georgia’s face really rubbed me the wrong way. She was easily the villain of the story for me.

I also had to laugh at Georgia landing that huge corporate donation from Whitmore. Having spent years in nonprofit fundraising myself, I can confidently say those conversations almost never end with, “This probably won’t benefit your company, but…” followed by a massive donation. 😂 It wasn’t the most believable moment, but it’s fiction, and sometimes we all need a little wish fulfillment.

As for the romance, Georgia and Jake have a real hurdle to overcome when it comes to whether they want children. I understood Georgia’s hesitation, and I appreciated that it wasn’t brushed aside. But if life keeps bringing the same person back to you, maybe it’s worth seeing where that road leads.

Overall, this was a sweet second-chance romance with lovable characters, lighthearted moments, and enough chemistry to keep me listening.
