Do Not Disturb

📚 Do Not Disturb
✍️ Freida McFadden
🎧 Narrated by Megan Tusing & Daniel Thomas May
⭐⭐⭐⭐

At this point, I’ve read over 10 of Freida’s books, so yes, we’re on a first-name basis now.

“Do Not Disturb” felt lighter and a little more surface-level than many of her other thrillers, and I actually found that to be a nice change of pace. Each character had such a distinct personality that there really wasn’t a whole lot left for us to guess about them. Aside from the biggies, they weren’t even hiding that much from each other!

I feel like so many of Freida’s books are secret upon secret upon SECRET, and while I absolutely love that brand of chaos, it was refreshing to get something a little more straightforward this time.

About the book: Quinn kills her husband and has to make a decision: turn herself in or run.

She runs. Obviously.

But after getting caught in a snowstorm, Quinn ends up stranded at a dilapidated motel with a sordid past, an overeager owner, one eccentric guest, and the owner’s wife lurking in the shadows.

Then Quinn’s sister comes looking for her…

What do you think happens next? 👀

The narration was on point, and Megan Tusing and Daniel Thomas May both worked really well for the story. I listened at 1.5x speed and flew through this one.

Overall, this was a solid ⭐⭐⭐⭐ read. Not quite as twisty or secret-filled as some of my favorite Freida books, but an entertaining thriller and a fun change of pace.
