I’m officially leaning into my seasonal reads. Bring on the fall vibes, Halloween, pumpkin carving, witchiness, and all things cozy! 🍂🎃 First up: “Fall Love.”
This #PregnancyTrope romance features Neve Snowe, a fiercely independent mechanic who has a rule about only sleeping with “flatlanders,” and Tate Love, a man searching for something more. They meet one fateful New Year’s Eve and, well… you know. 😂
Fast forward several months, and Tate returns to town for a business opportunity only to discover Neve is very, VERY pregnant. Surprise! 👶
From there, their romance is mostly smooth sailing. The baby gives them a reason to spend more time together, but Tate quickly makes it clear he wants more than co-parenting. As they gradually get to know each other, feelings develop, walls come down, and they start falling in love. Of course, there are a few hiccups along the way, but you’ll have to read it to find out what those are.
Overall, I really enjoyed Neve. She’s strong, independent, and very much accustomed to handling life on her own. Tate, on the other hand, was this really weird mixture of green AND red flags. 😂 His immediate obsession with the baby might have had me running for the hills.
At times, it felt like his interest in Neve centered more around her pregnancy and his determination to be a husband-and-family kind of man than Neve herself. But eventually, he grew on me, and I enjoyed watching their relationship become about more than the circumstances that brought them back together.
🎧 Narration Appreciation: Erin Mallon and Ryan West were both great fits for their characters. Their voices actually sounded age-appropriate, which I REALLY appreciated. Sometimes I’ll hear a super-youthful voice trying to convince me they’re a 40-something character and it just doesn’t work for me. 😂 These two absolutely worked!
