This was definitely a little outside my typical reading. There was LOTS more open-door spice than I’m used to, and it was very much the focal point of the book. 🌶️🌶️🌶️

Minus the whole “pretending to be a sex club worker to get in a girl’s pants” situation, MMC Jayce had some MAJOR green flag vibes. 😂 He wasn’t jealous, he was protective without being controlling, he believed in his girl, and he supported her. He was all in before she even recognized that she was, and I loved that about him.

As for Lexxie… I didn’t always understand her. She’s written as more introverted, mild-mannered, and the dependable good employee. Then, after a difficult breakup, she cries for two months and eagerly heads to a sex club to partake in a trio of fun. 😂 The transition felt a little abrupt to me, but kudos to her for embracing a little joy-seeking and self-discovery!

There is also a mystery woven throughout the story, and while it was technically wrapped up, I wanted MORE. I wanted to know more about Anderson, his motivations, and especially why a certain staff member was willing to help him.

And Cat?! Can we all just collectively agree to hate her?!

Despite my questions, I absolutely FLEW through this book. It was fast, entertaining, and ridiculously easy to binge. I’d definitely recommend “Her Escape” to readers looking for a little…
