Iris is the 2nd most responsible cousin in her family, and when one of those cousins goes missing and Iris has a vision of her own impending demise, she teams up with Boone (aka Boner thank to 2 of her cousins) to track her down.

There’s a little romance, a lot of amateur sleuthing, plenty of family to drive you crazy, and Iris’s visions adding another layer to the mystery. I really enjoyed the family dynamics and all the different personalities that came along with them.

Piper Goodeve’s narration was really good! She captured Iris perfectly and did a great job bringing the rest of her colorful family to life. This was an easy, entertaining audiobook to get lost in.

If you’re looking for an open-and-shut case that wraps up nicely by the time you turn the final page, this isn’t that. There are definitely questions left unanswered and storylines still unfolding. But it is the first in a series… and there’s more than enough here to make me want to come back for book two.
