A chaotic YA slasher that kept me rearranging the suspects right up until the reveal.

“How to Survive Your Murder” absolutely hit the YA horror mark for me… from the characters and overall vibe to Valerie Rose Lohman’s narration, which I loved. I spent the entire book trying to piece together the chaotic puzzle of the night Claire died, repeatedly convincing myself a different person had to be responsible.

And that twist?! It was something I had considered, but somehow I STILL didn’t see it coming. Those are always the best reveals!

Lohman’s narration was such a great fit for the story, capturing that youthful YA energy while keeping the tension high. Her performance made the increasingly chaotic night even more fun to unravel.
