“Violet Among Thieves” combines two things I love in a book: romance and mystery!

This was my first introduction to Violet and Chance, and while the novella can be read as a standalone, I definitely wish I’d read the previous two books first. I think having that established connection with the characters would have made me much more invested in their story and relationship.

I enjoyed the premise of a jewel heist in a storm-isolated mansion, complete with a house full of suspicious characters and plenty of drama! There was also quite a bit more spice than I anticipated, which occasionally overshadowed the mystery element I was most excited about.

Ultimately, I think this is a fun little escape for readers who enjoy their mysteries with a hefty side of romance and spice, especially those already familiar with Violet and Chance!
