This trip to Normal, Kentucky, took a few unexpected turns, and while it wasn’t the coziest mystery, I still enjoyed the visit!

When a delivery driver turns up dead at the local candy cane factory, Mae West and the Laundry Club Ladies find themselves tangled in another small-town mystery full of secrets, suspicious behavior, and plenty of potential suspects.

This one went in a direction I really wasn’t expecting! The mystery had a slightly darker edge than I anticipated, and Mae practically lucked her way into solving it. But honestly, I still love spending time with the quirky residents of Normal, Kentucky!

And can we talk about the characters? Hank is FINALLY starting to grow on me! Ellis, on the other hand? I’m disliking her more than ever. TY?! What are you thinking?!

Johanna Parker continues to make these visits to Normal such a treat. Her narration brings the town’s colorful personalities to life, and she captures that Southern small-town charm that makes this series so much fun to revisit.
