Another murder in Normal, Kentucky, and another entertaining adventure with Mae West and the Laundry Club Ladies!
When the owner of a local zipline attraction is discovered dead, Mae and her favorite group of amateur sleuths find themselves investigating another murder with no shortage of suspects.
This mystery got a little complicated toward the end, but I really enjoyed the journey! Honestly, half the fun of this series is catching up with the residents of Normal and all their small-town drama.
Hank continues to grow on me, and I will forever adore his grandma! Ellis, however? I somehow managed to dislike her EVEN MORE in this book. I have the tiniest pinch of sympathy for her, but I really hope Dottie doesn’t just forgive and forget. And that dress-shopping scene?! LOVED IT!
Speaking of Dottie, my heart broke for her and her online dating disaster. Can we PLEASE find this woman a good man already? She deserves some happiness!
Johanna Parker continues to be a wonderful fit for this series. Her lively narration gives each character a distinct personality and makes the humor, drama, and Southern charm of Normal, Kentucky, even more entertaining.
