Ship Happens

Ship Happens
By Lauren Biel
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not gonna lie, it’s PRIDE month, and I really need a book dedicated to Eve. @laurenbielauthor – if you’re lurking somewhere out there… please tell me that’s on your radar.

Ship Happens was so good, and yes, I already started Slaughter Park. At this point, I think it’s safe to admit I’m fully in my Lauren Biel obsession era.

Jim absolutely went off the rails with this retreat. Inviting federal agents and normies into the sinner chaos? Unhinged behavior. And then the man basically turns into a pirate for a chapter of the book. I cannot. Go big or go home, I guess. Arghhh.

I LOVE Frankie. She brought so much personality and chaos to the story and honestly helped balance out Maverick, who (despite being a genuinely good guy) might be the least interesting sinner for me personally. Still enjoyed him, but Frankie carried. Also? I support the cougaring wholeheartedly.

Favorite parts:
🔪 Ice Pick
I loved getting to know him more in this one. He’s honestly become one of my favorite characters in the entire series. Lauren did a F*ck, Marry, Kill game on Facebook and after reading this book? I’m marrying Ice Pick/Chad immediately.

🚔 The Feds Backstory (tiny spoiler)
I’m really glad the feds weren’t just random “good guys.” Giving them messy histories and questionable pasts made them fit the vibe of this world so much better. I would have been sad if they were killing “good guys.”

🧬 The Shared Genealogy Reveal (spoiler-ish)
I mean… we ALL saw it coming from page one, right? But I still loved the way it all came together. Bennett’s reaction absolutely took me out. “You’re f*cking my sister?!?”

Also, was I the only one thinking Cat might actually be pregnant and not just seasick? I kind of hope not because I really want her to go to nursing school first. Although honestly… she could absolutely do both. #GirlPower

For the romance, I did want a little more. And since Slaughter Park focuses on Aven, I really wish we’d gotten more time getting to know him here first.

Overall, this series is ridiculously entertaining, and I genuinely hope it never ends.
