Unstoppable Love

Unstoppable Love
By Erin Marie Bassett
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 (4.5 Stars)

I love that I get to kick off PRIDE Month with the first book I’ve read that focuses entirely on a male/male relationship, and honestly? It was such a beautiful story.

I kept waiting for some huge misunderstanding, dramatic breakup, or major conflict to tear Rhys and Duncan apart for a significant chunk of the book, and I was SO grateful that never really happened. The hiccups in their relationship felt realistic, but their love truly was unstoppable.

Favorite Parts:

🖤 The Characters
Both Rhys and Duncan were lovable and relatable, which are two of my favorite qualities in main characters. They definitely had flaws, but watching them work through things together instead of constantly against each other made this such a comforting and satisfying read.

🖤 Yes Day
I absolutely loved this date concept. Seeing them push each other outside their comfort zones in fun, creative ways made for some of my favorite scenes in the book. The candy stealing/confession scene was hilarious (major kudos to Rhys), and I genuinely thought the costume change near the end was going to involve the thrift store clothing. The kilt and jersey were definitely the more obvious choice though.

🖤 The Kitchen Supplies
Honestly, I think Duncan was falling harder and faster than Rhys for a while there. He was trying SO hard to be boyfriend material, even if he’d never openly admit it. The second he went all in on the kitchen supplies, I knew this man was completely gone for Rhys.

🖤 The WAGS & Friend Group
I loved that Duncan’s friend circle was immediately welcoming to Rhys and didn’t require an NDA. Just a genuinely supportive group of people who wanted Duncan to be happy. It added so much warmth to the story.

I definitely need to read more books in the DC Renegades series, but I’m also kind of glad this was my starting point.
