Evil is Forever
To Die For | Book 2
By Trilina Pucci
Narrated by Audrey Obeyn & Robert Hatchet
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I honestly had some pre-conceived notions going into this one because I loved the Evie/Chase dynamic so much in One Killer Night that I probably built this book up too much in my head. That said, I still had a blast with it. Also… can we talk about the fact that I somehow got the Audible version FREE through Kindle Unlimited?! I didn’t even know that was a thing, and I was genuinely screaming when I found it sitting in my library.
Just like in book one, Pucci absolutely shines with dialogue. The banter, the insults, the internal chaos… it all feels so natural and relatable. She has such a talent for making conversations sound like those of actual people rather than scripted romance characters. And Chase? I’m obsessed with him. The man is basically walking douchebaggery wrapped around a secretly lovable center, and unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), I think most of us have met at least one Chase in real life.
I did want a stronger ending because parts of it felt familiar, like I’d seen variations of it in other books and movies before. But honestly? I still had so much fun listening to this one. The narrators absolutely sold the chemistry and chaos, and overall it was just a really entertaining ride.
