⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A really enjoyable audiobook from start to finish, keeping me guessing throughout the first half.

I’d classify this as more of a mystery than a thriller. There wasn’t a ton of edge-of-your-seat suspense, but I loved trying to connect all the pieces, sort through the red herrings, and figure out who could actually be trusted.

Lena was my favorite character. Her relationships with both her son and her estranged husband felt authentic, and while she definitely made some questionable decisions, she came across as flawed, relatable, and very human.

The only part that didn’t quite work for me was Henry’s point of view. I never fully connected with his chapters, so I found myself more eager to get back to Lena’s storyline.

Overall, this was a solid mystery with enough twists to keep me invested, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys character-driven whodunits.
