✏️ By Madi Danielle
🎧 Narrated by Autumn Mercer, Brandon Francis, Ryan Lee Dunlap, Avery Caris & Patrick Zeller
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
OMG. This was my first Madi Danielle book and my first why choose romance, and I had absolutely no idea what I was getting myself into.
First things first: this was one of the best full-cast audiobook performances I’ve ever listened to. Every narrator was phenomenal in their role. Autumn Mercer was absolute perfection, and after hearing Patrick Zeller speak on a panel at SpicyReads, I already knew I was going to enjoy his performance and it was phenomenal.
The story moves fast. Once Rae makes her decision, she dives in headfirst… and so do Asher and Grayson. (Pun absolutely intended) Their relationship goes from zero to sixty in what feels like a single chapter.
If I had one wish, it would be for a little more relationship development between the three of them and a few more incidents/run-ins with the stalker. I think building that tension a bit longer would have made the final confrontation even more intense or satisfying.
One of my favorite parts was Asher’s character arc. I genuinely didn’t like him at the beginning, but by the end I was completely rooting for him. I also loved how supportive the characters were of one another, and this book definitely convinced me to check out more of the Denver Dragons series.
That said… now that I know exactly what these books contain 🌶️🌶️🌶️ I’ll be saving the rest of the series for when my son isn’t in the car.
