I picked it up on Libro.fm and finished it in a single day because I physically could not stop listening. I was up until 1 a.m. needing to know how it ended.

This story has everything: family drama, psychological suspense, ghostly chills, and an unexpected amount of humor. Clio isn’t necessarily someone I’d want to know in real life, but I was completely captivated by her. Her cynical outlook, fractured family, and uncertain memories made her such a compelling character. The relationship between the sisters was heartbreaking, and the way the story explored alcoholism, generational trauma, and the possibility that everyone was lying kept me questioning everything. It was impossible to know who to trust.

And the narration? Absolutely phenomenal. Alex Finke didn’t just narrate this book, she legit performed it. Every emotional breakdown, every tense confrontation, every moment of panic felt completely authentic. There’s one scene where Clio’s father completely loses his composure, and I was glued to my headphones. Natasha Soudek was also wonderful, bringing The House on Edgewood Drive to life and creating the perfect balance between the two storylines.

This is one of those audiobooks that leaves you staring at the wall afterward because nothing else feels like it can follow it.
