📖 See You Next Tuesday
✏️ By Jacqueline A. Parrish
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book isn’t like anything I’ve read before. While it’s categorized as a RomCom, it’s definitely more com than rom. When I first read the description, I thought Lily reminded me of myself many moons ago… working at a toxic nonprofit, leaving to juggle a million side hustles. But no. Lily is far more unhinged than I ever was.
I’ve read plenty of books with delightfully chaotic characters, but Lily may take the crown. Working two full-time remote jobs? Sure, that’s believable. But five?! Watching her desperately try to keep all the plates spinning while chasing her dream of opening a doggy daycare was absolute chaos in the best way. I spent half the book laughing and the other half wondering how she hadn’t completely lost it and what the heck is she thinking.
I also loved Lily’s friendships/roommate dynamic. They were easily my favorite part of the story. I just wish we’d gotten a little more time getting to see the romance develop, because it took a backseat to all the wonderfully ridiculous chaos.
Overall, this was a fun, quirky read that I’d definitely recommend if you’re looking for something lighthearted with plenty of laughs.
A HUGE thank you to the author for allowing me a sneak peek of this book! #RomComBooks #BookReview
