Yet another book I couldn’t put down.

Because Hazel did, I’m choosing to ignore the fact that Flynn is a walking red flag. 🚩 Obsessive, stalker-y, choker-y… oh, and a serial killer. Somehow, when you overlook all of that, they actually have a pretty charming love story.

What I loved most was how much was happening beyond the romance. Between Hazel (err… Lilac), Flynn’s family, the Kings Society, and the Hope Clinic, there was always something pulling me deeper into the story.

My favorite moments? Flynn talking to his deceased sister, his anxiety over pleasing Hazel (and the books his brother supplies), and his “random” appearances everywhere she went. Plus the fact that his first instinct after meeting her was to install a security system? 😂 Despite the darker themes, this book genuinely had the rom-com energy I needed.

I also appreciated the detailed trigger warnings. The story is intense, so definitely read them first.

Now I need this series in audiobook form! I can’t wait for Lachlan and Wright’s stories… and I’m really hoping Livi gets her own book too.
