⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
When it comes to family secrets, Helen and George win the prize. The question is… what exactly are they hiding from each other?
George “buys” them a house, but almost immediately after they move in, everything starts to unravel. Their world seems to implode as long-buried family secrets come to light and painful truths about the past are exposed. Just when I thought I had everything figured out, the ending delivered one final twist that completely caught me off guard.
The narration was excellent. I especially enjoyed how the story shifted between different character perspectives, with each narrator bringing something unique to the experience. It really helped build the tension and slowly reveal the bigger picture.
One thing to know before you dive in: there are only 10 chapters, and they’re long. This isn’t the kind of audiobook to throw on while you’re half-listening. There are a lot of moving pieces, so it’s definitely best enjoyed when you can give it your full attention.
If you enjoy domestic suspense, family drama, and slowly unraveling mysteries packed with secrets, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a try.
