This book has been on my radar for a while now, and I’m so glad I finally picked it up.

I absolutely love the FMC and the supporting characters. I honestly believe their character dynamics took center stage over the mystery, which was enjoyable as well.

To me, this book felt like a cozy mystery blended with a little open-door spice. You have been warned!

As always, a family secrets book is one of my favorite tropes, and learning about Tilda and what her family is hiding from her was really enjoyable – especially because Gil is already on the case.

I really enjoyed the epilogue of this book – I love a good fast-forward to learn how things all pan out for the leads. I’m interested to see if the sequels to this book will have the same enjoyable characters since they focus on the other sisters, but with Avery Hart’s writing style, I’m sure they will.

Narration was sublime! And she has an equally great cast of VO actors for book 2 – I can’t wait!
