This book has a smorgasbord of characters with basically NO redeeming qualities. Out of the entire large cast, there were maybe one or two people I actually liked.

Everyone is hiding something dark, but even worse? They are ALL covering for the most deplorable person of the bunch.

And listen… there are certain things I absolutely WOULD NOT do. Not even for family.

The entire time, I kept thinking: Imagine if someone had spoken up at the first sign of this person’s behavior. Imagine if they had turned them in instead of protecting them. How many lives could have been saved?!

That said, I loved the gradual unraveling of everything. Secret after secret comes to light, and you slowly see just how far these people are willing to go to protect the ones they love… and exactly how much they’re willing to overlook in the name of “family.”

By the end, I was basically rooting for EVERYONE to go to jail. 😂

But no. Instead we’re welcoming people to holiday dinner and carrying on like everything is perfectly normal?!

UGHHHHH.

Did these people make me angry? YES.
Did I enjoy watching their secrets implode? Also yes. 😂
