“The Party in the Woods” pulled me straight into its world of raves, music, drugs, secrets, and the ripple effects of one night that changes everything. While the ending itself wasn’t completely unexpected, the path there absolutely took turns I didn’t see coming. I especially enjoyed the dual timeline and the slow unraveling of who these characters really were. A few revelations genuinely rattled me—it’s incredible how much people can change, how well they can hide parts of themselves, and how easily choices are made without understanding the consequences.
The narration was a little mixed for me. Emer Heatley was fantastic and brought so much life and emotion to her performance, while Conor Dunne’s narration felt much flatter by comparison and lacked some of the emotion I wanted from his chapters. And if you’re listening to this one, give that final stretch your FULL attention—there is a lot to unpack as everything starts coming together!
