A little cozy, a little magical, and a whole lot of sweet romance…
I really enjoyed “Pumpkins, Potions, & Postscripts,” although I occasionally found myself confused by its identity. Sometimes it felt cozy, sometimes YA, and while I didn’t quite get the promised rom-com vibes, I absolutely got a sweet, medium-burn romance with a spicy finish!
Lilian and Silas had undeniable chemistry, and I loved watching their relationship develop. Lilian handled their obstacles beautifully, but Silas? Sir, PLEASE. 😂 That man could make a mountain out of a molehill! I also adored the friendships and family surrounding them, which brought so much warmth to the story. The big magical showdown in the Brewery and the candle lighting felt a little too reminiscent of “Practical Magic,” so I was glad it wasn’t the main focus.
My one silly nitpick? The endless P.S. in every email! It transported me straight back to passing notes with my girlfriends in the ’90s, complete with P.P.S. and P.P.P.S. 😂 It just didn’t feel like how thirtysomethings would communicate today.
This was a genuinely sweet, magical romance with lovable supporting characters and a happily ever after that left me smiling!
