Beck and Lottie have one heck of a “how we met” story, and I would pay good money to hear them explain it at a dinner party. 😂

Seriously, I cannot wait for the day someone asks these two lovebirds how they met. Will they tell the truth, or simply say “at a bar,” exchange a knowing glance, and leave everyone wondering? Because WHAT A STORY.

I’m not typically reading romance for the spice. I don’t mind it, but it’s rarely what makes or breaks a book for me. HOWEVER. Erin Hawkins can WRITE SPICE. 🔥 The passion between Beck and Lottie was palpable, and every steamy encounter felt like a natural extension of their chemistry rather than spice just for the sake of spice. I was SOLD.

Now, Lottie. GIRL. No shame in your game, but the mom in me was questioning some decisions! Specifically, allowing a man she KNEW was temporary to become such a significant presence in her sensitive son’s life. Sure, everything worked out, but SHE DIDN’T KNOW THAT. My mama instincts were screaming.

And Beck? We were handed a red-flag backstory, but the second that man met Lottie, he turned into one giant, mushy GREEN FLAG. I loved watching him fall, and fall HARD.

Savannah Thomas and Jason Clarke were fantastic choices for this audiobook. Their performances brought the chemistry, passion, and emotional connection to life, making it that much easier to fall for these characters.

Between the chemistry, the swoon-worthy hero, and the holiday atmosphere, this was easily one of my favorite holiday romances of the year!
