Campers & Criminals (Books 7-9)

Hitches, Hideouts, & Homicide ⭐⭐⭐
This one had its moments, but some characters started to feel more irritating than entertaining. Dottie was especially unpleasant (even more than usual), and Abby’s obsession with Ty was a bit much. I’m glad that storyline seems wrapped up, but now I’m wondering … does Ty still have a shot with Mae? I’m still not all in on Hank.
Assailants, Asphalt & Alibis ⭐⭐⭐✨
The John Swift Silver Mine storyline had a lot of potential, I just wish we got more actual exploring before the murder took over. I really enjoyed the focus on Agnes and Mary Elizabeth; I’m always here for deeper character development.
Valleys, Vehicles & Victims ⭐⭐⭐⭐
A strong finish to this group. I liked getting to know Gert and seeing more beyond the Laundry Club ladies. The wedding and Moonbucks storyline was fun, even if it went exactly where I expected. A bit predictable, but still an enjoyable read. I also love that Cokie is getting more page time as she has the potential to be such a dynamic character, and I appreciated her having Mae’s back regarding the interview. Hopefully Mae never has to deal with that bride again!
