๐ The Campervan Detectives
By Maeve Haran
๐ง Narrated by Fenella Fudge
“Fearless, feisty, and behind the wheel of her bright orange campervan, newly single Sadie is about to begin an unexpected new chapter… as a detective?!”
When Sadie stumbles across a body, she teams up with the members of The Vintage Vanettes to uncover the truth.
One thing I really appreciated was how different this felt from many cozy mysteries. Instead of constantly throwing themselves into danger, these women actually use common sense. They work through familiar police officers, local reporters, and community connections to gather information, which made the investigation feel refreshingly believable.
Another highlight was the cast itself. The main characters are middle-aged and senior women, and I loved seeing protagonists who don’t fit the typical amateur sleuth mold.
The mystery kept me guessing with several possible directions, and the resolution wasn’t nearly as straightforward as initially thought. And, of course, I was happy to see the story end with the possibility of a well-deserved romance for Sadie.
I’m definitely looking forward to seeing where the next adventure takes The Vintage Vanettes.
