At times this book felt like it was going on and on, but there was always one more twist, one more secret, and one more mystery to solve. I was completely invested, and the narration kept me hooked from beginning to end.

About five chapters in, someone asked me what it was about, and my answer was, “Lizzie Borden meets the Titanic.” Now that I’ve finished it, I’d describe it the exact same way.

This story is packed with family drama, both in the present and the past. Just when you think you’ve pieced everything together, another revelation sends you right back to the drawing board. Riley Sager does an incredible job of making you question everything until the very last pages.

Christine Lakin and Dawn Harvey absolutely nailed the narration. They brought the characters to life. Their performances elevated an already fantastic story into one I couldn’t stop listening to.
