📚 I Am The Monster Under The Bed
✍️ Emily Zinnikas
🎙️ Jenn Lee
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨
This was such a can’t-put-downable book! There was always something happening that I wasn’t willing to hit pause on, like, at all.
We have the unaliving of a group of teenagers, stalkers, psychics, unfriendly townies, invasive news reporters, a man who takes advantage of a teen girl, the death of a mentor, the forest, the people in the basement, and… Elliot.
It’s hard to say when this book hits its climax; my guess would be when the psychic, the reporter, the artist, and the $exual a$$aulter find themselves in the same room. And then it lasts for darn near the entire book.
I loved the mixture of real-world happenings and potentially haunted or magical elements.
It did at times seem to just keep going, but what a fun ride.
Jenn Lee did a PHENOMENAL job with the narration – she is definitely a narrator to watch.
And with this being Zinnikas’s debut… I’m excited to see what else she comes up with!
